  • The cost to obtain a Private Pilot Certificate typically ranges from $15,000 to $20,000. One of the most effective ways to help reduce the overall cost is through consistent, dedicated self-study, which can significantly improve training efficiency.

  • Yes! We recommend "Sporty's Deluxe Learn to Fly Course." It includes videos as well as a full kit of books and essential gear.

  • Ground lessons play a crucial role in ensuring that pilots possess a comprehensive understanding of essential aviation concepts. This foundational knowledge covers various areas, including weather patterns, airplane performance, Aeronautical Decision Making (ADM), human factors, airspace classifications, and current FAA regulations.

Before embarking on your check ride for certification, it is important to recognize that the first segment consists of a ground evaluation. During this assessment, you will be evaluated by a designated pilot examiner (DPE) who will gauge your understanding and application of the knowledge acquired during your ground lessons.

  • Your training timeline depends on your availability and how quickly you’d like to earn your license. Our instructors are available seven days a week to support a wide range of schedules. As a general guideline, we recommend studying approximately three hours for every hour spent in the aircraft. Keeping this in mind when building your schedule—and planning ahead with consistency—will help you progress efficiently and reach your goal in a timely manner.

  • We recommend you have your own headset before starting flight training. Our preferred models are Bose or Lightspeed headsets, as they offer the best comfort and noise reduction for extended flight instruction sessions. If you’d like, we can advise on specific models and features that work well for training aircraft.

When purchasing a headset, make sure that you get a headset that has the "Twin Plugs".
